One of the last

Today was one of the colder days that I can remember out at recess. The cold wasn't a factor however though. The little ones ran and ran and had a great time. Zack, a little first grader that i have grown close to throughout the year came up to me and i asked him how his day was going and he asked me the same. I brought up that i only have one more week at recess with him and I was shocked when it seemed to ruin his play time. In this split second i realized that he had became some what close to me as well. He was so sad and told me he was going to miss me a lot. Then his big question came out "Will you still come say hi"? This tore me apart inside and so I promised him i would be back. It shocked me how close we have became but yet he was 14 years younger then me. After this event at recess it touched me so much that, even though they are young these little ones do truly look up to us.

Recess this week.

This week at recess I played football with the 1st 2nd and 3rd grade boys. It didnt take me long at all to see who was the bullies of the game and who was not the toughest out there. The thing that caught my eye the most is the boys that had not the biggest build but the biggest heart.
One boy caught the football and turned to run. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the bully of the game coming right at him. Next thing I know he lays out the one with the ball. All amped up from the hit the boy jumped up and started taunting the hurt boy. It was not 15 seconds later one little boy came to the rescue, helped the other out with his pain and made sure the bully did not see that field for the rest of the game.
It was so crazy to see at such a young age boys helping out one another and sticking with there buddies.

Service Learning

Today was my second day at service learning and I witnessed some funny things this time. I noticed that the girls love to scream to get the boys attention so they end up chasing them. These are the girl I think will one day be the prom queens and models.
The second part of my recess I went and played basketball and there was two little girls that could have cared less about the boys chasing them or what they were wearing. This just kinda shocked me how at 2nd grade the girls have picked kind of the life styles they want to be. The star athlete or the prom queen.

Rough Movie

This saturday i sat threw the movie Normal. I sat there and wondered how this could be possible. How could a man married for 25 years with kids want to do that. Go threw all that pain and suffering as well as his family. Hurt the ones you loves so you feel complete. Cant see myself every wanting that for me or my family but that might just be me

Making Money

In todays culture women and men in the work force have changed so much to say 25-30 years ago. Today women are so much higher in companies but seem to make much less then a man that has the same position.
I don't know why this is but i do believe it is changing. Women are becoming more successful and I truly believe they have become tired of the stereotype and have worked hard to become just successful as any position that a man hold out there.

Shopping Boy Vs. Girls

I went to the mall the other day and was shopping and noticed that girls often spend double what boys even think about spending. At first this was shocking to me then i stopped to think. Girls go threw an outfit a day. Lots of girls do not like wearing the same outfit in the same month either. This makes since why they need so many different items. Boys can go three days wearing the same jeans not a worry in the world, therefore we need half as many clothes as girls do.
